Day 4 - Boat Tour, Grand Central Station & Priscilla

Today started liked all others - an over sized breakfast was had by some (not all).

The boat trip right around Manhattan Island was spectacular.  Commentary on board was excellent, and gave us some great insites into the history of the city and also into the psyche of the people.  We loved every minute of it, and we were impressed with the value for money it represented. Got to see old lady Liberty close up, but didn't venture onto the island.

It is only by doing a trip around the island that you can appreciate just how BIG New York City really is.  Over 8 million people on an island 13 miles long and 2.5 miles wide. There must be nothing else like it anywhere, and we are so glad we came to see it.

Grand Central Station was also an eye opener.  It is beautifully built and maintained, and like the rest of this beautiful city was beautifully clean. It is also on a grand scale.

This afternoon we decided to chill out a little, as we have booked tickets to Priscilla Queen of the Desert on Broadway. Brian sweet talked the girl in the ticket office and managed to get a really good discount on good seats, so we are looking forward to it.  Show starts at 8:00pm. We will have a drink before the show and then dinner afterwards.

Oh what a hard life we have.
